STRUCTURAL STEELS

• S235/S275/S355 (structural steels), ranging from 4 mm to 500 mm (hot-rolled or cold-drawn)

Applications:

Half of the global consumption of structural steels is used in the construction sector for building construction, bridges, transportation infrastructure, etc.

Properties:

  • Durability
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Sustainabilit

Depending on the chemical composition of the materials used and the profile options, structural steel exhibits different mechanical properties for specific applications.

• C45 steel (medium carbon grade - 0.42-0.50%), ranging from 4 mm to 500 mm (hot-rolled or cold-drawn)

Applications:

High-quality non-alloy C45 steel is widely used in the machinery manufacturing industry, automotive industry, mining industry, etc. C45 is the most sought-after quality steel for manufacturing components such as general-purpose shafts, axles, rotors, connecting rods, forged parts, torsion bars, light gears, rods, screws, rollers, linkage components, etc.

Properties:

  • Superior stress/strain resistance
  • Machinability and elasticity
  • With reduced weldability, C45 steel requires preheating before welding, and post-weld stress relieving is recommended, especially for thicker welds.

ALLOY STEELS

• 16~20MnCr5, 42CrMo4, 42CrMo+QT, 18CrNiMo7.6

By adding alloying elements, the properties of steel are enhanced, imparting specific characteristics.

Applications:

Alloy steels can be used in a wide range of applications in the construction sector, automotive industry, aviation, energy industry, tool, and mechanical component manufacturing.

Properties:

  • Hardness
  • Wear resistance
  • Alloy steels offer engineering solutions tailored to the specific requirements of various applications.

Miras International maintains an average stock of approximately 4,000 tons of commercially-length steel (6 m).

Approximately 80% of these materials undergo superior ultrasonic testing and meet the requirements for mechanical properties and chemical composition according to current Euro standards.
