In the chemical analysis laboratory at MIRAS INTERNATIONAL, the quantitative and qualitative chemical composition of steels and gray cast irons can be determined using spectral methods, with the help of a spectrophotometer, to determine the grade of the steels or cast irons. We possess a series of reference material samples accompanied by calibration certificates, which cover a wide range of steel grades, from carbon steels to stainless alloy steels.

We collaborate with accredited external laboratories to perform additional mechanical or metallographic tests, in addition to those conducted by the manufacturer:

• Z% along the thickness direction
• Yield strength and resilience at different temperatures
• Macrostructure

We maintain a constant partnership with the Central Construction Laboratory CCF (laboratorccf.ro) to:

• Verify the quality of materials required for the finished product and construction works
• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with legislative norm
